I'm very tremendously lucky and have the very best neighbour in the World!

In addition to a huge amount of other positive interest and activities, she's an "addict" in collecting the Norwegian

NISSER !  

(that's our special Santa's)

Early in November boxes and chests are gathered from storage in the attic and carried down

to the cellar, which is entirely filled with our Norwegian santas - in all shape and sizes.

It's really quite some work - each and everyone has his/hers special place in a suitable environment.

The atmosphere created is almost impossible to describe, - sheltered, cosy

- and a bit exciting ...........

When children are visiting Helga during December, Santa himself and his wife are

sitting in their corner - ready with small gifts in their hands.

And imagine - on the labels are the name of just those kids visiting!

No wonder the kids find it both wonderful and a bit incredible.

I never get tired of visiting the "Santahouse" in Heddal, Telemark. And there's always

a cup of coffe and some Christmas cookies to taste for adults.

My grandchildren get sodawater - in addition to gifts, and love to visit Helga.
