To make paper Christmas baskets for decorating the Christmas tree can be a nice family activity for the whole familiy. You just need coloured glossy paper, siccors and paper glue. Everybody can join in ; the young ones may use circles and glue, the older ones may make baskets by plaiting. 

It's nice to put a small christmas sticker on each side.

It's really not that difficult to make baskets. Just remember that the paper must be folded at the bottom, and that some paper should be left uncut at the top.

The pattern may be enlarged or reduced as wished.

Follow the drawings. The blue and yellow stips are to be put outside and inside each other.

The larger the easier. After some training you may increase to 5 strips and reduce the size of the basket. Very tiny baskets are in themself small items of art.

Don't forget the real purpose of paper baskets on the Christmas tree - put some candy or nuts in - and strangely enough - they may be emptied rather quickly.....
